NE-YO GONE MAD & SETS THE RECORD STRAIGHT

Ne-Yo has gone 'Mad' like his new single. Taking to his Myspace page Friday, Ne-Yo slammed the media and any haters for taking his words out of context.Going as far as calling his 'light skinned babies' comment a joke, Ne-Yo wrote "Pardon my french, but what the F**k is wrong with y'all. Are you so desperate for an R&B bad guy that you gotta find a way to create one in me ?" "The comment about light skinned babies ... an obvious joke, maybe not a good joke, but clearly a joke. Y'all really took that serious !" Moving along to the next topic, because there are so many things that have been said, Ne-Yo addressed this week's gossip... his feature in PEOPLE that quotes him talking about being able to see Young Jeezy from his balcony: "I tell PEOPLE magazine that Young Jeezy’s crib is right next to mine and that once I saw him in there from across the way. I then make a JOKE about him maybe not wanting to walk around naked in his crib with the shades up cause the buildings are THAT close to each other, and that AIN’T something I care to see. Suddenly, everybody thinks I said I saw Young Jeezy in his crib naked when, NEVER ONCE did I say anything like that." In case any of that is lost, Ne-Yo makes, like Usher, a stand and says: "I’m NOT gay, I’m NOT prejudice to anyone, I DID NOT get stomped out by Jim Jones or anyone else, I’m NOT engaged, I’M NOT STUPID. And to anyone that INSISTS on thinking that any of these things are true…… F*CK YOU. To the haters….find some new material please!!! It’s 2009, our president is black!!! Time for change. To everyone else…… I love you to death, thanx for all your support. WE PLATINUM ROUND HERE!!!!!"

By the way, Ne-Yo's video for "Mad" is out, feel free to watch it below.

JUSTICE SERVED: NE-YO WINS R. KELLY LAWSUIT

R&B star Ne-Yo has won the lawsuit he filed against a tour promoter acting on R. Kelly's behalf, after being kicked off a tour with R. Kelly back in January. Peep the report below:

Because of some backstage machinations, Ne-Yo is a little bit richer. The R&B star has scored a nice payday for being dumped from R. Kelly's road show last year. A Los Angeles judge has ordered Kelly's promoter to pony up $700,320 to the "Because of You" Grammy winner. Ne-Yo went to court in December, alleging he was bounced from the Double Up tour because his opening set was getting better reaction from fans and critics than Kelly's. The bill also featured Keyshia Cole and J. Holiday. Superior Court Judge Malcolm Mackey made his default judgment after Georgia-based Rowe Entertainment refused to respond to the lawsuit filed by Ne-Yo under his real name, Shaffer Smith. Per his suit, Ne-Yo was supposed to earn $785,000 on the 25-date jaunt, but the 25-year-old performer was canned by Rowe after the second show on Nov. 15 and only received a fraction of the contracted amount. At the time, the promoter blamed the dismissal on Ne-Yo's camp for not completing the proper paperwork.

Ne-Yo Kicked Off R. Kelly Tour

There's always drama whenever R.Kelly goes out on tour. The troubled singer who is currently awaiting trial on child pornography charges for videotaping sex acts with a minor, has dropped Ne-Yo from the tour.

According to a press release, Shaffer Smith aka Ne-Yo was informed that he was being dropped from the rest of the R Kelly tour after delivering two sensational performances. Entertainment reporters, music critics, bloggers, fans, and concert goers all agreed that Ne-Yo's performances brought the heat; but maybe it brought too much heat.

"He's written hit songs for Beyonce "Irreplaceable" and Rihanna "Unfaithful" (spending a combined 19 weeks at #1 on the Hot 100), said Tango, Ne-Yo's business partner and manager. He's written songs slated to be on Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Lionel Richie, and Enrique Iglesias' new albums. In a recent article in Ebony Magazine, the king of pop, Michael Jackson, referred to him as one of the artists that impresses him most. The fans were really feeling his performances. He's good; maybe he's too good – that's the problem.

R.Kelly's camp sited the lack of a signed contract as the reason Ne-Yo was dropped. "I don't understand their actions because I was rehearsing, doing media, promoting the tour, and performing", said Ne-Yo. "In my opinion, I was doing everything possible to make the tour a success. I love being on stage in front of fans because of the immediate feedback you get. You know right away if they are feeling you; and they were really feeling our show."

The R. Kelly Tour continues with Keyshia Cole and J. Holiday.

NE-YO TALKS ABOUT NEW USHER TRACKS

Ne-Yo — who won Best Contemporary R&B Album for his Because of You LP — spoke with MTV News late last week in Los Angeles about writing for Usher, John Legend, Ciara, LeToya Luckett, and Janet Jackson.
Ne-Yo said he couldn't divulge too much information on his clients, citing artist/collaborator confidentiality, but he said he and Usher discussed ways to make the fleet-footed singers sound more mature. "He's not the 'Yeah!' guy anymore. He's matured a little bit," Ne-Yo said. "So we have to find a way to balance his maturity with his fanbase, which goes from the youngest to the oldest."
Although Ne-Yo has his hands more than full, the Def Jam artist said he's quietly gearing up to start work on his third album, the follow-up to last year's Because of You. No solid foundation has been set so far for the project, which is still untitled at this point.
"I'm just figuring out where I want to go," Ne-Yo said. "Me being an artist, I can't do the same [thing] two, three and four times. I have to find the next thing. That's the current battle: trying to figure where to go now. I know I want to do R&B, but at the same time, I want to be the kind of artist that can do a duet with a John Mayer and [have] it makes sense."
"I have no idea [how it's going to sound]," Ne-Yo added. "But figuring it out is gonna be fun."

Ne-Yo Puts Britney on Blast

This morning on On Air with Ryan Seacrest, R&B singer/songwriter Ne-Yo discussed what occurred in his failed working relationship with Britney Spears. Brit still works?

Ne-Yo explained that he wrote 6 to 8 songs intended for Spears, which she loved, but once she shaved her head and went into rehab, all contact was lost as Britz didn't return calls. In the meantime, Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger listened to the songs and purchased two of them. That's what we call a "jack move," folks! Ne-Yo now claims Brit-Brit is a little upset -- because he sold Nicole songs intended for her. Ya snooze, ya lose y'all!

Ne-Yo remained a gentleman during the entire interview and didn't take a few golden opportunities to trash the pop wreck -- even suggesting that a comeback is possible if she can separate her private and professional lives. No kidding!
