Rapper/mogul Jay-Z has announce that he will release an album full of all new material this November titled American Gangster. Although Jay-Z’s is separate from the official motion picture soundtrack, the new album is Jay-Z’s lyrical interpretation of the movie, which stars Denzel Washington.
"Blue Magic" Jay-Z’s first single from American Gangster was produced by Pharrell and features vocals from Pharrell Williams on the chorus (You will notice that he sampled "Hold On" by En Vougue).
American Gangster will feature a series of producers, much like Jay-Z’s famed Black Album. The new album is set to hit stores November 6, while the film opens in theaters November 2.
