A hot topic that is a real issue is African American Women and Hip Hop. With the growing popularity of Hip Hop music the negativity that now surrounds Hip Hop is being observed by the rest of the world and is making an immense impact on African American women and girls. It is believed that Hip Hop is more misogynistic and disrespectful of African American girls and women than other popular music.
E3 has found two different clips that deals with this issue.The first video is from a special that aired on NBC last month. The second video is from the Video Vixen Summit held in Atlanta, GA in August. NBC Nightly News digital reporter Mara Schiavocampo sat down with industry insiders to discuss and examine the state of hip-hop and African American women.
