Rapper 50 Cents and Robert De Niro cover the March ‘08 issue of Vibe magazine and discuss why it’s cool to play a gangster.
“Actors are imitating life. That exists. People who don’t actually follow the rules. So for an actor to create a project to show people what actually happens, that’s cool.”
De Niro on whether it’s okay to play a gangster:
“Movies are like dreams, an expression of people’s subconscious, what they feel, what they would want to do but wouldn’t do … And we all know the difference between reality and fiction.”
Erykah Badu is featured in the latest issue of Giant Magazine.
Here’s what she had to say about former loves, Andre 3000 and Common:
“Common is the most humble person I ever met. Kind and generous. He reinforced that in me. Andre is very creative and artistic. All of that that you see of him, that’s all him. That’s how he is, and that gave me a creative push, too.
With Andre, we were both very young, so we didn’t know what we wanted or anything. We just knew we were in love, and we didn’t care who saw us. With Common, it was a little bit more mature.”
