Although few have heard of Drake in the United States, he has built up a strong reputation in his native Canada. Despite being best known for his role as Jimmy Brooks on Degrassi: The Next Generation, the Toronto native also has a rap career, the pinnacle of which came with the Trey Songz-assisted Replacement Girl (the first Canadian unsigned video to chart on BET’s 106 & Park countdown). Making an even bigger move, Drake has recruited arguably the most popular hip-hop artist in the world (Lil’ Wayne) for the singing rappers’ ballad "Brand New." Nothing brand new can be said about this track other than it's hot with or without Lil’ Wayne.
