BRANDY'S CAR ACCIDENT AN INSPIRATION

Nearly two years after a fatal car accident, R&B singer Brandy says she barely got through the ordeal. “It was a tough situation to go through. I can’t really talk about it in any great detail because of legal matters but it was just something that I don’t like to think about often” the “Right Here (Departed)” singer told Ryan Seacrest Monday. “I prayed a lot and I had great people around me to help me up and lift my spirits and I got through it. I don’t even think that I’m all the way over it.” Getting in the studio to record “Human,” her forthcoming album, due in December, Brandy says certain songs were inspired or linked to the pain and emotional rollercoaster following the accident and subsequent legal issues. “Right Here (Departed)” ended up being a song that was specifically related to friends and family who stuck by her side. “A lot of people can related to that song because everyone needs someone to be there for them.”

I think it is pretty sad that all she can talk about is how hard it is for her, that she isn't all the way over it, what about the family of the woman that she killed. It is horrible that Brandy is out there recording songs and going on with her life, she is a killer and needs to be behind bars. Shame on you Brandy. You need to think of others not "poor pitiful Brandy whos is having a hard time getting over it"

Try to think of the last time you remember any other celebraties going out of their way to say anything was their fault. At least she owned up to what she had done, and I think she is a very good person. She has a lot of faith in god and deserves to be where she is. Yes, it is sad what happened to the victim and her family, and in my opinion, I think Brandy has acknowledged that. It was a tradgedy for both sides and I can find it hard to believe that if you were put in the same situation what you may feel like. So actually, I think it is shame on you.

I agree with the second poster. It's wrong to tear Brandy up over this and call her a killer who should be in jail. I mean, seriously, if you were in her position, would you want people saying that kinda stuff about you? I doubt it! I'm sure she feels horrible enough as it is, and she does need to get on with her own life and just learn from the whole thing. Her new album is off the hook and really showcases the importance of acknowledging that we, as humans, make mistakes and that is just a part of life.
