JAY-Z BREAKS HIS SILENCE

Jay-Z finally responds to the scorned... The entrepenuer/hip hop artist made a statement about the comments that were made by both Foxy Brown and Teairra Marì:

As far as Foxy or Teairra Marì, these are people that I have given chances to. It’s understandable that they would be upset, but you got to look at it from my point of view as well. I gave Teairra Marì the same shot I gave Rihanna. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.”“You know that stuff is going to happen, eventually it’s going to happen. What I’m happy about is, that no matter what people say, no one has ever said that I am dishonest or that I have taken one dime from them . . . I’ve never cheated anyone out of a dime. No one’s ever said that, right?

Brown - real name Inga Marchand - has been incarcerated in New York's notorious Riker's Island prison since September. The show will follow Foxy's life out of jail as she starts to push her next album "Brooklyn's Don Diva." No word yet on potential titles of the show or when it would air...

Foxy Brown Denied Again

A New York judge has denied Foxy Brown’s request to be released from jail early so she can travel to California to repair an electronic ear implant.
Foxy Brown, born Inga Marchand, is serving a one-year prison sentence on Rikers Island for repeatedly violating the terms of her 2004 probation.
On January 17, Brown’s attorney Laura Dilimetin asked acting state Supreme Court Justice Melissa Jackson to amend the rapper’s sentence, so she could visit Los Angeles’ House Clinic tomorrow (January 30), where she received her initial treatment for her hearing loss.
On Thursday (January 24), State Supreme Court Judge Melissa Jackson ruled against the Brown’s petition.
Prosecutors argued that the 29-year-old rapper can receive the treatment that she needs in New York and labeled the request a "desperate and frivolous petition."
In a four-page letter to Judge Jackson, Brown claimed that she was terrified in prison because she cannot hear properly.
"I am terrified of not hearing a fire alarm go off, or being locked in a cell, and someone not being kind enough to let me out, since not everyone understands the severity of my condition," wrote Marchand.

Locked Up But Not Knocked Up

The incarcerated and NOT pregnant Brooklyn rapper Foxy Brown will release her new album Brooklyn's Don Diva while she serves a one-year prison sentence for violating the terms of her probation.

Here is a statement Foxy made recently:

“This is just a temporary situation. I made my bed and have no problem lying in it. My will is steady. What doesn’t kill me will only make me stronger. I think there are greater injustices in America that require our immediate attention, like what’s going on in Jena, Louisiana. I will not surrender. I’m fine. Free Jena 6!”

Foxy Brown Gets a Year in the Slammer!

Foxy Brown will spend the next year in jail for violating her probation -- and she's going straight back to a cell on Rikers Island, where she's spent the last two weeks.

TMZ was in the courtroom when it all went down, and Judge Melissa Jackson slammed Foxy's pleas for mercy, calling her a "great actress," and saying that if this were the first time she'd apologized, she might be believable, but not now. We're told that Foxy was visibly distraught by the verdict, and her mother refused to talk to reporters outside. Foxy originally was sentenced to the probation after an assault on two employees at a nail salon in Manhattan.
Outside the courtroom, cops from New Jersey -- where she allegedly lied to cops about her birthdate and state of residence -- told TMZ that she got what she deserved. Interesting note: if she serves the full term, Foxy will give birth in prison.

Pregnant Foxy Brown 'Suffering' on Rikers Island

Brooklyn rapper Foxy Brown's bid for freedom was denied by a Manhattan Supreme Court justice yesterday (August 27).

Brown, born Inga Marchand, filed a lawsuit against the Correction Department, claiming that she is suffering on Rikers Island, since being incarcerated last Wednesday (August 21) for alleged parole violations.

Brown, who recently revealed that she is three months pregnant and engaged to be married, is not due for a hearing until September 7.
Manhattan Criminal Supreme Court Justice Laura Ward denied Brown's petition to be released from Rikers Island.

Brown was arrested on August 14, after she allegedly assaulted her 25-year-old neighbor, by striking her in the face with a Blackberry during an altercation in her Prospect Heights neighborhood.

The following day (August 15), Brown was arrested for allegedly giving officers a fictitious name during a traffic stop, driving with a suspended license and driving with a suspended registration.

Representative for Brown said they will appeal the judges ruling.
