Venus Williams is on the latest cover of SHAPE magazine. Venus Williams won her fifth Wimbledon singles title Saturday, beating younger sister Serena Williams 7-5, 6-4 in the final. Defending champion Venus is 5-2 in Wimbledon finals, losing only to Serena in 2002 and ‘03. The win at the All England Club gave Venus her seventh major title.

Nelly covers the latest issue of THE SOURCE magazine. In the issue Nelly talks about his new upcoming album, Brass Knuckles, which is due in stores August 19th.

Young Jeezy is featured on the cover of the August 2008 Real Rap issue of VIBE magazine. In the issue, Young Jeezy opens up about family, life and his rumored relationship with Keyshia Cole. According to Jeezy, they weren’t ever in a relationship. He claims, that’s what she wanted but he wasn’t down for it from the get go.

Actress Malinda Williams will exchange vows on August 23, 2008, with her beau of three years, Derrick Jones (aka former rapper D-Nice), and this is the celebratory kickoff.

Celebrity fashion stylist Tiffany Hasbourne (the maid of honor) and Malinda’s sisters Leslie Dunn and Lisa Sorensen (who hosted the festivities at her Studio City, California, home) coordinated the shower. The 18 guests include Malinda’s mom Beverly Williams, and four of her five bridesmaids—Terri J. Vaughn, Vanessa Williams, Leslie Dunn and Lisa Sorenson (bridesmaid number five, Nicole Ari Parker, couldn’t make it). Mingling among them are actresses Tasha Smith, Salli Richardson and Dawnn Lewis (A Different World) as well as fitness expert A.J. Johnson, who made a mad dash from the airport to join in the fun.

KANYE WEST COLLABORATES WITH LOUIS VUITTON

The self-titled 'Louis Vuitton Don' Kanye West has teamed up with the fashion house to produce his own line - for both men and women. Check out the report via NME:
The rapper showed up at the Vuitton show in Paris’ Jardins de Bagatelle on Friday (June 27) and told wwd.com ”I’m here for Louis” before revealing that he is working with the fashion giant on designed a men’s shoe line.West, who was dressed entirely in his own clothing designs, also told the fashion site that he is working on a women’s wear collection which will debut this fall.

MTV TO AIR JAIME FOXX’S REALITY SHOW

On July 15th, MTV will air “From G’s to Gents,” a new show produced by Jamie Foxx, which takes 15 young G’s from across the country with great potential under their rough exterior and polishes them up. Hosted by Fonzworth Bentley (known for his umbrella holding days as Diddy’s personal assistant), the men will be schooled on how to lose the front, focus their passion, and market themselves. Taking lessons in everything from style and grace, etiquette, chivalry, and business skills, the men will see that with the right tools every G has the ability to find respect, realize their self-worth, and graduate from G to true Gentleman.
