Solange Knowles is ready to step out of her big sister's shadows. For real, this time.
The young R&B ingénue, who released her debut album 'Solo Star' in 2003, is no longer on the same record label as her elder sibling Beyonce Knowles. According to BV Newswire, E3 has learned that Solange, as she known, is "is moving to Los Angeles and moving to a new record label."
The young, single mother – who has dabbled in songwriting and acting over the past few years – will reportedly record for the Geffen Records label, already home to music stars Mary J. Blige, Macy Gray, Fergie, Nelly Furtado and Keyshia Cole.
According to Chanel Green, a rep for Solange, the forthcoming project will be "a new joint venture relationship with Music World Music," which is helmed by the singers' father Mathew Knowles.
