JANET SUPERBOWL FINE DROPPED
A federal appeals court has thrown out a $550,000 fine against CBS Corp. for the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show that ended with Janet Jackson's breast-baring "wardrobe malfunction." The judge ruled Monday that the Federal Communications Commission "acted arbitrarily and capriciously" in issuing the fine for the fleeting image of nudity. The 90 million people watching the Super Bowl, many of them children, heard Justin Timberlake sing, "Gonna have you naked by the end of this song," as he reached for Jackson's bustier.
KIM KARDASHIAN TO JOIN 'DANCING WITH THE STARS'
Socialite Kim Kardashian has been tapped as the latest celebrity to join the cast of hit TV show Dancing With The Stars. The hip-hop honcho will pay tribute to the Democratic candidate in an upcoming issue of Italian men's fashion magazine L'uomo Vogue by posing as the potential world leader, according to reports. A source tells the New York Post, "He is sitting in the Oval Office, running for president and making campaign stops. All in high fashion, of course."
