Blaque By Pop Demand

Where have all the girl groups gone? Apparently sensing a need to answer that question, T-Boz of TLC, is hoping to revive the genre by producing a reality series starring the group Blaque. Way back in the late 90’s, Blaque was the brainchild of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and she modeled the group after TLC.

Unfortunately, like alot of girl groups from the 90’s, Blaque’s time together was short lived. Natina departed the group in 2003 and was replaced by Erica Pullins, though she never made an official debut with the group. Shamari signed with Darkchild and was suppose to release an album in 2006 but that didn’t pan out either. Now the group has reunited is hoping their reality series, “Blaque By Pop Demand”, will spark an interest in them once again.Rumor has it that the show will be populated with cameo appearances, by Ronnie DeVoe of New Edition ( husband of Shamari Fears ), Kurupt ( ex-fiance of Natina Reed and father of her son, Trent ), T-Boz, and Da Brat. No air date for the series has been released, and for those of you who have no idea who Blaque is, check out the video for their single “808″below.
