Jermaine Dupri, one of the industry's most
consistently successful top-charted producers and songwriters, has been fired as the president of Island Records Urban Music, a division of the Island Def Jam Music Group. A formal announcement of his departure from the position, which he has held for nearly two years, was recently confirmed to AllHipHop.com that Dupri has been terminated effective immediately.
