Grammy award-winning singer Erykah Badu and her rapper beau, Jay Electronica, welcomed a baby girl on Sunday, the singer's publicist confirmed. The couple blogged about the birth of their child on the Twitter Web site. Badu said she had a home birth that lasted about five hours and that she didn't use painkillers. The newborn is the couple's first child together, but is the third child for the soulful Texan beauty who also has a 10-year-old son, Seven, with rapper-turned-actor Andre "3000" Benjamin; and a four-year-old daughter, Puma, with rapper and childhood friend, Tracey "The D.O.C." Curry.
Badu, 37, released her fifth album in February 2008.

Kimore Lee Simmons finally has her long-sought-after bun in the oven. The demanding diva and fashion maven has been trying for a child with her lover, Djimon Hounsou, and sources say the two have finally made magic. "She's pregnant," a source told UsMagazine. Currently, Simmons has two daughters, Ming Lee Simmons, 8, and Aoki Lee Simmons, 5, with ex husband Russell Simmons.

R&B star Solange Knowles is desperate to find a new man - so she can adopt a child.
Beyonce's younger sister divorced husband Daniel Smith in October 2007 - but the split has not put her off exchanging vows in the future. She says, "I'd definitely get married again." Solange would love to follow in the footsteps of stars like Angelina Jolie and Madonna and adopt a child - because growing up with singer Kelly Rowland showed her you don't need to be blood relatives to form sisterly bonds. She adds she would love to have more children, "even if it means adopting... If there are two people devoted to nourishing and growing and developing their love for a child that is a beautiful thing. Kelly grew up with me since I was about five years old, so she is my sister. She didn't come from my parents, but there is nothing I feel differently for her than my sister. I have definitely explored that option... But I've got to find a man first!"

Sharing the spotlight with her now 6-year-old daughter Sy’rai, Brandy has teamed up with footwear retailer Skechers for the ‘Nothing Compares to Family’ ad campaign. Slated to run through 2009, the campaign features some of today's popular celebrity families while also benefitting family-related charities selected by the celebrities. "It's great to be part of Skechers' campaign, which promotes and benefits families and children," says Brandy who will be featured in numerous editorial ads through 2009. Brandy is set to release her fifth studio album later this year, and will support The Norwood Foundation, which provides cultural enrichment to at risk youth.

The Obamas are featured in the latest issue of PEOPLE magazine where they offer a rare look inside their family life.Can you tell me how this experience has changed your marriage?
Barack: It's made it stronger. The tough times for us were when the kids were real small, I was away a lot and Michelle was still working. So, the burden on her was enormous, and I think there's a feeling that maybe I didn't fully appreciate that burden. That was something we worked through. And I think we're both more patient with each other. We both know how to avoid making the other person feel aggravated. And I'm so proud of her and I think she knows how much I love and appreciate her. So, she puts up with me.
Michelle: I think it has made us stronger. Time and love and sacrifice and hard struggles, I think, make you stronger.
Barack: I also think that she knew at the beginning when I was doing this that if she came to me and said don't do it, I wouldn't have done it. And if I ever thought that it was ruining my family, I wouldn't do it.
Michelle: We're constantly balancing each other. I know that if I were to say, "I can't take this," it would be over.

Pharrell Williams, of N.E.R.D. and Neptune fame will be a daddy for the first time! The super producer impregnanted a model-esque woman that he met in Miami earlier this year. A friend told the New York Post that the woman:
“is very pregnant and travels with him. She hangs out with the backstage crew when he performs. Pharrell is extremely private and won’t release any details.”
Congratulations to Pharrell and the new mommy to be!

USHER: Just simply being there. I don't judge my father because I forgave him for anything he'd ever done to hurt me unintentionally. My father and I had a very short amount of time together throughout my entire life, but the most valuable time was during his final days. He asked me to forgive him for not being there. He asked me to give him a chance, give him a shot because he loved me, and he had always loved me. But it was very difficult for him to be in the situation he was in and be the example he wanted me to follow. So he intentionally stayed away. And he was kept away from me too. He didn't like it, but he didn't fight it because he knew he wasn't living right.

HARPER: What would you say to young men and women about what they should expect from a man who's a father? What is living right as a father? How do you define that?How would that man look?

Sean Patrick Thomas will have a reason to celebrate this coming Father's Day. The 'Save the Last Dance actor' and his wife Aonika have welcomed a girl into the world last weekend. Named Lola Jolie, the bouncing baby girl weighed in at exactly 7 lbs., on May 16 at 7:29 p.m.
"Now I have two gorgeous girls to love," said the joyful dad, who was most recently seen in 'A Raisin in the Sun' (now on DVD).
The 37-year-old actor married Aonika Laurent, an actress, in New Orleans in 2006.

Fashion designer Rachel Roy delivered a healthy baby girl named Tallulah Ruth, weighing in at 8 pounds, on May 13th in Manhattan. This is the designer’s second child with Damon Dash. "It's number two," Roy, 33, told Style.com. "And I am thrilled because number one, Ava, is the best thing in my life, and I have always wanted to have another little Ava – or Ava as a boy! So, high fives all around!" Ava was born in 1999, a year after Roy and Dash became a couple. They married in 2005. Within two years of meeting Dash, Roy became a creative director for his Rocawear company. She now has her own eponymous fashion label. Dash, 36, also has a teen aged son, Boogie, from a previous relationship.
