In addition to Common and Just Blaze, Q-Tip and KRS-One have teamed up with DJ Premier and Cool & Dre to remix Boogie Down Productions’ “Criminal Minded” and A Tribe Called Quest’s “Midnight.”

4th ANNUAL PEAPOD FOUNDATION BENEFIT CONCERT

Black Eyed Peas, John Legend, Common, Ne-Yo, Earth Wind & Fire and The Roots were some of the folks to perform at last night’s 4th Annual Peapod Benefit Foundation Concert.



New Commercials: Amerie and Common

R&B singer Amerie is the one featured on the commercial of TV channel "AXN" celebrating their 10th Anniversary. This channel is only available in Europe, Asia and Latinamerica. Amerie's performing her song "Gotta Work" in the commerical.




With his hit, "I Want You" playing in the background, Common relates growing up in his hometown Chicago in a new 2008 Lincoln Navigator commerical.

The much anticipated wait is over because Common's latest video debuted today. "I Want You" music video is so like a movie you never want to see end. The video features some sort of a love triangle between Common, Keri Washington and Alicia Keys. Other Guess appearance included Kanye West, Serena Williams and of course the single was produced by Will I Am.

Common’s new video for “I Want You” sparked the rumorville when Kerry Washington signed on to co-direct it. While those two are in a much rumored romance, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Derek Luke, and Serena Williams are all up in the video too.
It's funny... Now even the music videos got trailers like it's some sort of big movie production (even though some of these videos do feature an all-star cast like a box office hit).

Director Ridley Scott (Gladiotor and Black Hawk Down) spins this yarn concerning a Harlem drug kingpin (Denzel Washington) who smuggles heroin into the country by hiding it in the bodies of U.S. soldiers killed during battle in Vietnam. There was a time when no one noticed reserved driver Frank Lucas (Washington), but when the criminal kingpin was charged with transporting through the city streets suddenly dies, Lucas seizes the opportunity to build his own criminal empire.
