Ellen Degeneres debuted her new American Express commercial on her daytime talk show yesterday. It’s the newest installment to the “Are you a Cardmember?” campaign. Featured in the ad with Ellen is R&B powerhouse Beyoncé Knowles-Carter. With Ellen in the mix you know the commerical has to be funny. Check it out below:
Mariah is MTV’s “Artist of the Week” as part of their 52 Bands/52 Weeks campaign. She has done a series of promo commercials which can be viewed below. Some star her dog Jack Jr. voiced by Snoop Dogg.
Mariah will be all over TV this week appearing on “Oprah” today and “American Idol” tomorrow and Wednesday. In honor of E=MC², the Empire State Building will be lit in Mariah’s album colors (purple, pink, and white) from April 25th through April 27th.
With a hit album titled “As I Am”, it’s no wonder why Dove chose Alicia Keys to play the starring role in their new Campaign for Real Beauty TV micro-series, “Fresh Takes”. The series is about the everyday life of a 20-something year old female and the pressures she has to overcome in order to pursue her passions. Each mini episode will air as commercial interstitials during the March 24th (10pm EST) premiere of “The Hills” on MTV.
Remember the story about Sean Bell (the unarmed back man unlawfully gunned down by New York police officers last year on the day he was married)? Well his widow Nicole and two children are appearing in the new “I Will Not Lose” Rocawear ad campaign. And apparently NYPD is extremely upset about it.

Janet Jackson filmed a spoof on MTV’s hit show “My Super Sweet 16″ in which she complains about not getting her Porsche during her birthday hour. The promo will begin airing on Monday when MTV spotlights Janet as their artist of the week.
