TYLER PERRY TO FILM 'WHY DID I GET MARRIED' SEQUEL

'Why Did I Get Married?', the big screen adaptation of Perry's stage play about the trials of marriage, is considered to be Tyler Perry's best work to date is one of the many reasons why Perry plans to do a sequel tentatively titled 'Why Did I Get Married too?' The new movie would be a follow-up with hopes for the return of original cast members, which includes Janet Jackson, Jill Scott, Tasha Smith, Sharon Leal, Malik Yoba, Richard T. Jones and Michael Jai White. Perry, who is still in the process of writing the film, revealed why he chose to do a sequel to the film stating that "Because there is so much I want to say. There's not another film that I have written that I felt like there's more to say; and there's more say in 'Why Did I Get Married Too.'" Perry further explained saying "It will be the same cast. Everybody... it's going to be great."

WHAT'S UP WITH RUDY?

In an interview with essence.com, Keshia Knight Pulliam, known to Cosby fans as Rudy -- the "baby" of the family — though she’ll always be Rudy from the Cosby Show to us — talks up her new role in Tyler Perry movie, Madea Goes To Jail. When asked how she managed to skirt the way of some child stars — drugs, crime, etc., here’s what she offered up:
I think it’s learning from the mistakes of those before you. It’s very documented the rough route that other child stars have had. My family made sure my focus was to stay grounded, to stay humble. In my family, it’s not an option not to be. Taking that time off to grow emotionally, mentally and physically was a very deliberate thing; to just go to school and have those regular experiences in life. Through that, your self-worth isn’t grounded in Hollywood. It isn’t grounded in your next role. It’s grounded in real stuff—going to school, being a good person, those sorts of things. So I really attribute it to my upbringing.”
