You’ve seen her in ‘Sex and the City’ and ‘Dreamgirls,’ and now singer-turned-movie-star JENNIFER HUDSON is coming back with the first single from her upcoming album! Entertainment Tonight's host Kevin Fraizer joined the bubbly singer on the set of “Spotlight,” a song about relationship insecurities.
Although the song was written and co-produced by hit-maker Ne-yo, Jennifer says, “It definitely tells a story of me and my life. What I sing really happens to me.”
As for the video, she made sure to have some man candy for the ladies — some very cute boys!

On the Danja-produced track, Cassie says she wants to be her man's one and only. “It could go a bunch of different ways,” she said earlier this week in L.A. on the set of her video for “Official Girl.” Chris Robinson directed and the million-selling Lil Wayne guest-stars on the record. “For me, it meant being with somebody, but not really being with them and wanting their confirmation and wanting them to say it out loud: ‘I want to be your official girl. I’ve had a past experience with it,... unfortunately, that situation didn’t work out [for me]. But yes, I’ve been through it, and it happens to a lot of people. So I was happy to be a part of the song” The track, which is written by The Clutch, is the first single off Cassie’s sophomore album, in stores this September. Rihanna was spotted signing copies of her new CD Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded in NYC last week.

It has been confirmed that following his departure from Sony earlier this year, R&B singer Omarion has signed with hit-maker Timbaland's record label - Mosley Music Group - an off-shoot of Interscope Records.
The former B2K leader's debut for the label, his third studio album overall, is slated for release before the end of the year with Timbaland serving as its executive producer. Keri Hilson as well as Justin Timberlake have also been lined up to feature on the project.
Speaking about the new album and label home, the 23 year old said:
"I'm really excited about this project. Timbaland is like family to me, so it's always great to work with family and I think this is going to be my best album yet. I'm happy to call Mosley Music Group my new home."

In The Love Guru you play the wife of a hockey player. Were you able to relate?

I can relate in the sense that he left her. He left because of his feelings of inadequacy. He felt he wasn’t going to win the World Cup—

You mean the Stanley Cup?
Yes, the Stanley Cup. [Laughs.] That’s the one.

I take it you’re not a huge hockey fan.

Ehhh...I follow boxing a little bit.

Do you get frustrated when people forget about your previous acting and just peg you as a video vixen?

A lot of people ask me “How do you make the transition from video girl to actress?” It’s a little frustrating because I was acting before I did videos. But if somebody knows me as a video vixen, I’m not mad at that at all.

Is Hollywood taking you more seriously now?

Yeah. It’s been a long time coming, but it’s good. I feel like I paid my dues.

As far as movies go, what’s your take on nudity in films?

If it’s done artistically, and it’s necessary for the scene, that’s one thing. But when people show full on breasts and A-S-S, it’s just shock value.

Mary J. Blige has a heart the size of her record sales. Last week, Blige was at the Diane von Furstenberg store in the Meatpacking District when she overheard a girl having a problem at the register. A spy said, "The girl had a dress on hold that she loved, and the bill was $900. She thought it was only $500, and she couldn't afford it." Blige told the saleswoman, "Go get the girl. I want to pay for the balance on the dress." The customer at first declined Blige's offer but relented after the singer said, "I know what it's like to want something and not be able to have it. I insist." The customer wanted to send her a check for the balance, but Blige said, "Just enjoy it. I'm blessed, so let me do this."
